At the turn of the 20th century St. Louis dreamed big, adopting the motto "To The Front!" to reflect the city's optimism and seemingly limitless potential, then the 4th largest in the country.  Needless to say, the shit hit the fan in ways our city leaders at the time could never have predicted. Our present challenges are deep and vast, even insurmountable according to many.  Remember, though-- plenty of people said building the Arch would be impossible, but we found a f*cking way, didn't we? Time to reclaim our proud civic slogan of yore, so stick this one where it counts.  To The Front!
