About the event

2026 marks the 150th birthday of our beloved civic jewel, Forest Park. It started as an upstart vision -- a bit of a chip-on-the-shoulder project for St. Louisans who wanted to prove we were as good as any ole East Coast founding city -- and has been the site of triumph, pride, embarrassment, joy, hope, mistakes, and all the other things that make up a place.

Join co-authors and St. Louis partisans Amanda E. Doyle and Cameron Collins in this inside look at their new, lushly photographed book "Forest Park: St. Louis's Gathering Place Since 1876." We'll share the stories we found, the stories we've heard, and all the ways that 1,371 acres in the region's heart reflect the good, the bad, and the real of St. Louis.

Copies will be available for purchase and personalization at STL Style House!
