The Parkmoor (disc.) - Bygone Brand

$26.95Price

The Parkmoor was St. Louis' first drive-in restaurant, opening in 1930 at Big Bend Boulevard and Clayton Road. Local residents loved the rich, hearty food, the iconic orange rooftop and the famed carhops who hurried meals to eager diners. The Parkmoor quickly expanded into a chain with at least six area restaurants, but by the early 1970s, the tide had turned and most had closed. Happily, the original Parkmoor location held on for nearly three more decades before finally closing in 1999.
