Grandpa Pidgeon - Bygone Brand

Grandpa Pidgeon’s was a true discount store that kept its prices down by skipping all the frills. It was founded in 1954 by Tom and Mildred Pidgeon in Bridgeton, Missouri. You could find good deals on anything ranging from clothing, jewelry, electronics, furniture and housewares. Instead of glossy and colorful advertisement circulars, Grandpa’s was known for using black ink on brown paper ones for theirs. The business was sold in 1999.

52% combed and ring-spun cotton 48% polyester, preshrunk, 4.2 oz.
