A recent drive through University City uncovered even more forgotten treasures (for much more, scroll through our older blog posts). So I'm cruising south on Sutter Avenue, and I spot these ancient street signs:

I'm not even going to guess what decade these babies are from (okay, fine.... the '40s, maybe?). Regardless, they're pretty damn old. Well, having randomly stumbled upon these relics, I had a hunch that I'd find more cool stuff if I turned east on Spencer Avenue.
I was right.
I found an ancient bus cemetery!

The route sign on this old hag is still intact... SHREVE.

The past is very much a part of the present in our old gritty city. I love you, St. Louis!
